If there is one thing that Christmas brings every year to both children and adults alike, it is a great sense of joy. A joy that comes from gathering together, a joy that comes from sharing and a joy that is fully expressed in and through the nature of being able to bless and give to others. These expressions of joy are always experienced when our community gathers for our annual Figtree Carols.

This year will be no different. Once again, Figtree Anglican Church invites you to join us for our annual Figtree Community Carols; celebrating our 21st year of running this fabulous evening of entertainment for our local community. Special guest, Remy's Music Machine will provide entertainment for the young and young at heart, with Jennifer Gray and Nic Jeffries who are both highly successful musicians also performing on the night. Local talent will lead us in singing all your favourite carols, and the evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display. We are gearing up for a wonderful night, with free face painting, lots of activities for the kids, low cost rides, a BBQ as well as plenty of coffee outlets.

Entry is free, but this year we’re inviting you to be part of something very special. We’re asking everyone to bring at least one children’s book, which will be donated to schools in Nairobi, Kenya who teach children living in the slums. Catch the vision by checking out the full story here! As in previous years a donation will be taken up in support of the local Rural Fire Service.

I very much look forward to joining with you on this special occasion as together we celebrate the joy of Christmas.
